Very beautiful nature in this place. Because of that this region is in Austria’s national park. Mallnitz is still in Kärnten but it is very close to the very famous Gasteinertal in Salzburg and those two are connected each other through a train tunnel where you can also go by car. The village Mallnitz is a small and quiet place in a very beautiful surrounding. The skiing area is not so big but quiet interesting. You have very long and bride runs which are pretty steep most of the slopes are red and black ones. If you are beginner you don´t have to go directly to the difficult slopes and can train your skills in the valley where there is a small lift for the beginners. The lifts are very modern and what I really liked about this area are the two very long valley runs. Also beside the slopes you will find some possibilities for deep snow skiing. It is a very nice place to stay and you have the possibility to change the area very easily as I already said the Gasteinertal is very close and also in Kärnten are some other nice areas.
