Reviews

Just spent a 1/2 day at Rauris and it was mostly fun. I'm a good intermediate with a knee issue. The resort is small but very popular with beginners, lots of ski school uniforms on the mountain. The blues were tending to mogul my midday both the long black from midstation down was quiet and exciting in places. I had a terrible time on the high t-bar, it's got an unusual mounting system where you have to push down a lever to get onto the t-bar. I wish I'd never pushed the lever. I couldn't find a secure balance point, I kept drifting off track and had to hold on for dear life several times on long steep ascent. It's too narrow and the pitch of the wire is too steep, once on there are very few places you can safely bail out and if you do there is no easy way back to a piste. By the time I reached the top my right arm and leg were both exhausted. Recommend you avoid it and use the white gondola which actually goes higher. The link to skilines is a bit weird too but that's less important than the risk of injury on the t-bar.
