Kate Vaughan

Vaujany is an extremely beautiful village resort with very friendly inhabitants. The ski runs in the Vaujany/Oz area have kept us as intermediate skiiers content for several weeks.Going over into the Alpe d'Huez area was quite a shock to find out how much busier it was and how you have to queue for the lifts again, a rarety in Vaujany/Oz. Although we didn't venture too far off piste - there were plenty of others who did. The ski school and lunch club option for the kids is wonderful as too is the creche which my youngest has been very happy in. The pool complex and the ice rink are both great options incase you haven't worn the kids out enough on the slopes. One of the main drawbacks we have found is that most of the restaurants don't start serving in the evening until 6.30/7pm onwards which was just too late for our brood. Pre-ordering a roasted chicken at the shop and another day using the pizzeria which is open from 5pm helped with that problem.
