The station is a satellite station linked to the Alpes d'Huez network and in time (2024 - a long time away I know) will be linked to les Deux Alpes. The skiing is split between tree fringed return blues and reds back to Auris and motorway above tree line blues with a good few punchy Reds that would be Blacks in other resorts. There is also good off piste skiing whith a couple of hairy chute runs and specifically challenging mogul blacks. In the resort it's self it's a little charmless with much of the early 80's block appartment buildings still in evidence. For those of you who drive, there is masses of free parking and regardless of where you park you can ski down to the lift or its a short walk (less than 50 m). The reseort has two mini markets with good stocks of all you need and at good (for the alps) prices. There are a few pubs and restaurants with more opening up all the time. Similarly there has been almost 20mio spent on new accomodation, updated ski lifts and improved infrastructure generally. It's not 'happening' in any sense if you want cheesy euro pop and dancing on tables, neither is it terribly sophisticated. What it is however is polite, gentile, relaxed skiing, evidenced best during the feb half term week when you can queue for a lift for no more than 3 minutes to get a seat. Families, you won't get better. Lads or groups on the lash, look elsewhere as it won't suit you at all. One final word however, the return blues are not easy skiing for complete newbies.
