Mondolé Ski, near Mondovì, is the largest ski area in the province of Cuneo. It's accessible through Prato Nevoso, Artesina, Frabosa Soprana and Roccaforte Mondovì, which is connected to Mondolé via 2 chairlifts that go to Pian della Turra in Artesina. The ski area offers skiers of all ability levels 130 km of downhill slopes and 1 km of cross country trails. It's open from December to April thanks to programmed snowmaking. In addition there's a snow park and slopes reserved for snowboarders, nighttime skiing at Prato Nevoso, and 3 play areas for children on the snow. To complete the picture there are sleeping quarters for 4000 people, restaurants, traditional pubs, cafés, discos, slope-side eateries, refuges, 2 museums dedicated to local traditions, and the Caudano and Bossea Caves with their suggestive underground atmosphere. In the summer there's a rich program of fun events for all ages, for example the breathtaking bob sled run at Artesina, freeriding at Frabosa Soprana, golf at Prato Nevoso, as well as many other sports and parks. There's also an ice skating rink, miniature snowmobiles, a rock climbing gym and hotel pools, which guarantee a fun mountain vacation filled with sun, snow and nature.
