This place has a ton of potential, unfortunately there are a couple important pieces missing. 1. Mountain closures: Too few employees ( I assume) means it takes goddamn forever to open the mountain after a snowfall, which are typically large quantities here (often snows between 1-5 feet at a time). 2. Transportation: The roads are poorly kept, the buses are infrequent and only go to a part of the domain that isn't always open due to low altitude. A 20 minute taxi ride to the slopes from the nearest "real" (non-ski resort) town (Villanova Mondovi) costs as much as a 1-day car rental. 3. Hotels: Availability is very low since most of the structures at the mountain are family vacation apartments (that are apparently not rented out to visitors, if one searches airbnb or homeaway) It truly pains me to see such an awesome mountain that get so much snow so poorly managed. Its actually sad for the locals, who could have so much more cool terrain available to them.
