A ski resort with terrain for all levels and closeby lodging, lots of apres ski activities and a good ski school make for great vacations on snow.
Valle des Bellville: Just One Of Three Valleys -
Val Des Belleville is one of the valleys of Le Trois Vallées that include Val Thorens, Les Menuires, and St. Martin de Belleville.
Val Thorens is the highest ski resort in Europe. This purpose-built ski village sits in a grand amphitheater that rises high up into glacier country. It is just the place for skiers and snowboarders who are bored with red and blue slopes. The vast terrain here is both treeless white and challenging black.
Val Thorens’ share of the slopes and hardware amounts to 87 miles and 34 lifts, but like all the resorts here, it swings a broad brush and claims the whole domain.
Les Menuires is a ski resort in the Belleville valley of Les Trois Vallées. The resort has 48 restaurants, 39 ski lifts, and 62 trails. The resort also hosted some of the games of the 1992 Winter Olympics.
St. Martin de Belleville, despite being in the Trois Vallées, has managed to keep its traditional French character, consisting of many alpine chalets.
