Overall Val Thorens is a great resort for all levels of skiers. Also wide range of activities for non skiers, especially après at Follie!

The Toboggining in Val Thorens is a disgrace and should be avoided. It is a waste of money and unsuitable for anybody older than 12.

We went there with Skikot, a famous travel brand in Belgium who was really good for the organization. We had a small (perhaps too small) room for 4 pers. at the foot of the slopes and the ski lift. Hopefully we had all stay long a wonderful sunshine, which is really nice for the après-ski at the Folie douce! The resort was also good for the nightlife with a large amount of bars, restaurants,... The ski area is available to any ski level, from the beginners to the pros. It's really good if you go there with friends who's got differents skiing levels. I recommend it to everyone.

After disappointing trips elsewhere with little snow thought we'd try the highest resort and pleased we did. Bit warm and no snow but pistes well maintained. Reds very hard packed but blues great. Slushy in lower resorts but viz excellent most of the time. Will definitely return!

Great holiday , good tuition from Ski prosneige. Superbly maintained pistes, a brilliant resort for all abilities. We were very well looked after by the ski total team in the Chalet le Sommet. Will definitely be back.

We had skiied in many resorts before we found VT and have not ventured beyond it since. Access to a great range of pistes, great lift service and generally guaranteed snow make this the best that we have sampled. As for the evening toboggan run - absolutely brilliant. The only irritant is the noisy revellers in the street at 4am (every morning) - 5am on one occasion. This is followed (we stayed in the centre of the village) by an unloading lorry in the main street at 5.30am which goes on until 6.15 (why???) and that was followed one morning by a snow machine at 6.30am at the travelator which carried on until c 7.15am. Sleepless nights followed by a full day's skiing are not the best mix and management really should do something to limit these sorts of inconsiderate practices.
