The Val di Sole valley, located in the northwest of Trentino, offers a myriad of opportunities for ski lovers. With state-of-the-art facilities, fully equipped ski schools and convenient transportation it's a perfect vacation destination nestled between Ortles, Cevedale, Presanella, Adamello and the Brenta Dolomites.A single ski pass gains entry to the Val di Sole ski area, which is the largest in western Trentino and which includes Folgarida, Marilleva, Pejo and Tonale Pass. There are 290 km of downhill slopes and 115 ski lifts for a skiable surface of over a million square meters. With the "Skirama Dolomiti-Adamello Brenta Skipass" the skiing opportunities extend to 380 km of slopes. And on the Presena glacier (3000 m) at the Tonale Pass it's possible to ski until July.For cross country skiers, there are 22km of trails. The Rabbi Valley (5 km) and Cogolo trails are free while the Ossana trail requires a pass. Numerous lakes and waterfalls play an important role in the valley. In Rabbi and Pejo side valleys it's possible to enjoy the healing properties of thermal waters at local spas.And if you want to leave your car at home, you can load your ski equipment onto the Dolomiti Express train, which reaches most stations in the Val di Sole.
