Folgarida, in the Dolomite mountains in Italy, is a truly breathtaking mountain range linked in with two other ski areas: Madonna di Campiglio and Marilleva. Set in a huge pine forest, there is very rarely a lack of great conditions. For beginners, get the gondola from town and hop off at the mid-station as the greens are nice and gentle there. For advance, head to the black run that takes you to Marilleva, its extremely steep but the snow is always fantastic. If the weathers good, pop into the local shop in resort and they will make you up some nice fresh rolls to take up for a picnic. At the end of the day, head to the ‘Eta Beta’ bar which is in the main group of shops right near to the main gondola.
