Reviews

Valdesqui is the local ski hill for Spanish capital Madrid (if you ignore in Intrawest run indoor ski hill right in the suburbs). This can cause problems when conditions are good as the Madrid masses arrive in force causing legendary lift lines. Some locals complain ticket prices are also higher than they should otherwise be if the resort didn’t have a captive market to cash in on. The terrain is predominantly suited to beginners and intermediates with no blacks – just a wide selection of blues and greens in a treeless bowl over a modest 1,300 foot vertical. As most people drive over from Madrid and Intrawest haven’t decided to build a base village here yet, the ski centre has no accommodation on-site. There are however over 4200 tourist beds in the locality and ski rental and tuition are available on site.
