Jungfrau Ski Resorts

Pistes ranging from easy ones for families to difficult ones for professionals await you when you spend your winter vacation in the Jungfrau region. The valley slopes are between 6 and 12 km in length and can be prepared with snow-making equipment should the need arise. The ski area is well-known for the demanding slope Lauberhornabfahrt. In Mürren-Schilthorn, the highest ski area in the Berner Oberland (1650 – 3000 m altitude), the snow conditions are usually good until spring. If you are looking for a challenge, you can try the 12 kilometres long black piste, the “Inferno“ that takes 2000 m upward. For snowboarders the Jungfrau region is not only interesting because of the pistes but also two snow parks, the Grindelwald-First and Mürren-Schilthorn. The possibilities for cross-country skiers are rather limited. A specialty of the Jungfrau region is the possibility to do ice climbing. The huge number of frozen waterfalls makes the area ideal. The impressive ice sculptures are easily accessible.
