with a bit of planning ahead you can really enjoy this area. Its in the mountains - proper mountains not hills. There is a train to 3500m you can catch trains all over the place on the ski area trains are like lifts here. 4 different mountains to ski on - mostly linked but murren is separate - requiring a 10 min bus ride (highly scenic)to get to the base - but is included in the lift ticket. However you can ski back to Laterbrunnen direct. You can ski from Kliene Schideeg to Grindlewald and then a short 4min bus or train (again free with lift pass) to the gondola - scenic thats all part of the fun - its not for the unfit! (all the walking between trains and lifts etc) I think that planning a fitness are needed keeps the numbers in check and this is not as crowded as other areas. The toboggan runs are a lot of fun - best was manlichen - lots of good gradient! The skiing is great lots of terrain to explore. I think this is the best ski area in the world on scenery and long runs. Views from Jungfrau Joch top train station are amazing likewise the 007 revolving restaurant on top of Schlithorn. The Eiger face looms over the whole area. I think wengen is the best place to stay if you want to ski the whole area. But any of the towns are picturesque (don't stay in interlarken too far away)
Scenery better than any other ski area
You need 5 days to do it justice

We loved Wengen for all that you could do in the snow in addition to skiing. Their are a number of toboggan runs that are a ton of fun. The setting is absolutely beautiful and everything you would expect from a classic alpine village. Slopes were a bit icy, but there are a ton of available trails if you get the full pass (giving you access to Grindelwald and Murren as well). You can ski slopes from Kleinne Scheidegg to Mannliechen to Grindelwald and literally ride for hours without touching the lift again. We can't wait go go back.
natural beauty, lots of trails
often find yourself waiting on train or tram
Went to Wengen late Feb.2008,found snow conditions very icy in morning, then mush later.Ski area poorly linked, and lift queues unsupervised, could learn a lot from Colorado.Scenery was great, but town is very small with not much to do if you dont ski.All in all i dont think i would go back.
really lovely resort, quiet but nice and some lovely views.
