We stayed in Brig as part of a rail tour around Switzerland. It is well connected in to the bnational network. Brig uitself is quite a large town with a good range of shops and nice places to eat and there are good leisuere facilities besides skiing too. So it kind of has a life of itsa own besides skiing. The ski area is easy to reach above the town though. It is quite a small area and best suited to beginners andf intermediates, but it is well erquipped wuith friendly staff so for us just wanting a couple of afternoons rather than a longer ski vacation it was great.
