Anzere is a beautiful location. The village is quaint and family friendly with less people than other resorts we have been to. There was plenty of snow and runs were groomed nicely. Les Rousses is a great family run when it is open. Our only complaint was the lack of chair lifts and the lack of marked runs. There were too many T-bar lifts that are hard for beginner children to navigate.
I have been skiing in Anzère since 20 years. Anzère is a great family oriented resort where you will always find good snow conditions. Even if almost all runs are facing the sunny south side, Anzère get so much snow that you will always have great skiing.
Anzère is groming almost all slopes every night.
In 2008, Anzère did some big improvment with a new Billabong & VZ snowpark, new mountain restaurants and fantastic apres ski bar.
Finally, Anzère is good place to spend a few days for all guests.
Anzere is a great resort if you don't want to be stuck in queues for a majority of the time you are on holiday. The village is very friendly and though the mountain is small there is a wide variation of runs to ski, with some of the best views of the Valais I have ever seen. Les Rousses is also one of the most enjoyable family runs that I have skied, there are good pitches for more advanced skiers but always an easier route for beginners.
