Ustroń is a health resort in the southern part of Silesia, in Cieszyn County. It is located in Beskid Śląski 400 m.a.s.l., between Czantoria Wielka (995 m.a.s.l.) and Równica (884 m.a.s.l.).There are several ski resorts in the offer for skiers. The biggest is Czantoria. The slopes in Ustroń are diverse in difficulty level and have T-bar, platter and chair lifts. Most of ski routes are illuminated and artificially snowed. In the town there is no problem with renting ski and snowboard equipment . Nearby the lifts there are ski schools, where qualified instructors help with first steps on slopes. Ustroń with no doubt will satisfy cross-country skiing enthusiasts, because there are 6 km of cross-country routes, located in avenues upon Wisła. The routes are dedicated to classic style and also freestyle skiers. Cross-country routes are snow groomed, that’s why there are perfect. Cross-country skiers will surely appreciate the fact that they can ski in the evening, in the light of lamps lighting the avenue. The access is free. In Ustroń there is also a cross-country skiing school, which is rare in Poland. Ustroń has above 6 thousand accommodation places in hotels, guest houses and health resorts. Within the frameworks of the offer of different health resorts you can use massages, salt baths, pearl and rotation massage baths and inhalations. In Ustroń you can try a delicious regional cuisine, which tastes the best in highlander huts and regional inns. A real delicacy are potato pancakes with szpyrki, zbójnicka roast, highlander trout and a bread with lard.You can get to Ustroń with the route nr 81 from Katowice. The route nr E 75 leads from Bielsko- Biała. From Bielsko, as well as from Cieszyn, Kraków and Katowice you can get also by bus. Bus station in Ustroń is located in the center. From bigger Polish cities you can also get by train. Through Ustroń runs railway line from Goleszów to Wisła. The town is situated near Brenna, Istebna, Szczyrk and Wisła, which have equally interesting offer for skiers.
