Food is good easy location
Good instructors a lot of investment gone into lifts Friendly compare to France
Now apres ski bars needed

After having skied in Bulgaria I found Austria to be beautiful, however Söll’s apres ski scene is definitely more tame. Slopes were very lacking in the afternoon due to no new snow fall whilst there (and some rain) however they worked hard to keep the slopes usable. Ski bus worked well and the garage at the ski depot is great (apart from the two flights of steps to negotiate to leave your skis at the end of the day.). There’s a small, slow drag lift to get you to the gondola unless you walk up a slight hill. Equipment is great (upgrade to superior boots if you can afford a few more euros). SkiWelt area offers a lot of variety however more suited to better intermediate skiers than good beginners.
East access nursery slope, great ski equipment, plenty of connectivity with other areas
Small amount of apres ski, not great for “advanced” beginners, food the same at each cafe.

Special mentions: Ski bus: very poor, start at 8.36(ski lift start at 8.00) and at the end of the day stop very early, 0 from 10. Ski slope: absolutely disaster, ''on piste or off piste (soll austria) exactly the same thing''. Hardly see ratraks working at the piste maybe one in half hour in the evening. Very very poor service piste prepare when your ski pass is 240. . A very unhappy experience. -10 from 10

I've been coming to Soll for extended weekend skiing for nearly 20 years. Easy access from Munich, under 2 hours, nearly all autobahn. Soll is an ugly village, strung out just off the main road to Worgl. most skiiers will need to take a ski bus up to the main lift. We always hire a car, which makes access to the whole area much easier. The ski area is quite low, but recent years have seen major investments in snow cannon coverage and we have only been forced elsewhere once (the Zillertal valley is about 40 minutes away). For real powderhounds you can add the Kitzbuhel alps to your ski pass for a small extra payment. Connectivity is now excellent with new gondolas opening up Westendorf. Highly recommended for intermediates, there is limited challenge for experts (offpiste at westendorf) and there are better resorts for beginners. Very popular with the Germans at weekends if the snow is good and the sun is shining.
access to full skiwelt area - great for intermediates
limited skiing for experts - signage could be better

a vast area of varying levels. piste bashing could be better....especially after overnight snowfall.
good value
poor signage ...... need trail/piste options at bottom of every lift and more piste markers on the edges of pistes to keep you on track in poor visibility.
