Getting to the Paznaun Valley is straightforward via the Inntal motorway to the Pians exit, then along the Paznaun Valley road to See or Kappl. International travellers typically fly into Innsbruck or alternatively Munich. From Innsbruck, trains run to Landeck-Zams, followed by a local bus into the valley. This train-and-bus combination is both comfortable and environmentally friendly. Many accommodations offer shuttle services to the lifts or assist with transfer arrangements.

Kappl and See are not connected by lifts, but a ski bus runs regularly between the two villages. With a shared ski pass, guests can conveniently access both ski areas.

A standout feature is the 6 km natural toboggan run in See, starting from the mid-station. Tuesday night skiing on 2.5 km of floodlit pistes adds a special atmosphere. In Kappl, two tubing lanes round out the family offering.

For fresh snow, head early to the Versingbahn in See or the Alblittkopfbahn in Kappl. The slopes in both areas often remain untouched after snowfall, offering ideal conditions for freeride. The high altitude ensures dry powder and stable conditions throughout the day.

A top tip for families is the practice area in Kappl’s Sunny Mountain park. This enclosed zone with conveyor lift and direct ski school access offers safety and comfort. See’s children’s area at the mid-station provides similar facilities, and both are close to restaurants for easy lunch breaks.

Toboggan fans shouldn’t miss the natural run in See. It starts at the mid-station and stretches 6 km down to the valley. Groomed daily, it’s also popular in the evening. In Kappl, two tubing lanes add extra fun for families.

For a scenic break, try the Panorama restaurant in See or the Gratli terrace in Kappl. Both offer sun terraces with views of the surrounding peaks and regional dishes – perfect for a relaxed pause.

Tuesday night skiing in See is a highlight for those who enjoy skiing after sunset. The floodlit slopes are well prepared and offer a unique experience, especially under clear skies.

Ski tourers will find several marked routes above the Versingbahn, with impressive views – especially at sunrise.

Après-ski in both villages is low-key. In See, a cosy hut in the valley offers local specialities and a warm atmosphere. For more buzz, a free ski bus runs to Ischgl.
