This is a most beautiful scenic resort with excellent restaurants and very good standard ski hire. we were victims of an unseasonably poor start to the ski season and endured a green Christmas 2014. We were only able to ski for two days in the week and even when it snowed the resort was not fully open for a day as the snow needed to be compacted. There wasn't enough information on which lifts would be opened. We wrongly chose to travel by public transport which was a mistake as we were trapped when the snow failed to come. A perfect compact resort in good conditions. we loved the food. Ended up walking almost a mile to the only decent open run. Saturday queues into surrounding major roads are also a problem It has a great historic snow record, but wasn't set up to cope with no snow. Do I dare go back. Only last minute. The restaurateurs are lovely. Mostly Dutch skiers the week we were there. Still trying to get the grass stains out of our gear.
