Of the five Scottish ski centres this is the nearest to Perth Dundee and Aberdeen making a half day ski a possibility It also gets very busy but there are 21 lifts and three valleys so you are sure to find somewhere with no queue.There are very few full time staff as it is operater owned and many part timers and they do a first class job with old lifts,high winds,icing dealing with crowds of ski ers etc.As it lies on Scotlands highest A road there is direct access from your car to the snow,there are 6 lifts direct from the road which is the location of the beginners area.The duty to clear the road is that of the local authority the ski centre is not allowed to do it athough they clear the car park.There are three excellent café s one at the road side the others at high level all licenced.There is ski hire and ski school available by the roadside and a fully staffed rescue centre.The website is accurate and get up to date however conditions can change very quickly.
