Before putting on your skis, check the snow conditions at Valle Vigezzo one last time.
Height and quality of the snow, date of the last snowfall, today's weather, temperature, wind... all the information you are looking for to have a great day of skiing. Please note Valle Vigezzo snow reports are sourced directly from the ski resort and are only recorded during the official ski season's opening to closing dates.
Preferential access route to the Val Grande, Italy’s biggest wilderness, the Vigezzo Valley is known as the “Artists’ Valley” both for the historical presence of portrait and landscape artists and for the beauty of the local nature and towns, but is also appreciated for its many tourist and sporting opportunities. During the winter season, the Piana di Vigezzo ski resort (1.712 m) offers 20 km of ski runs with differing levels of difficulty – also suitable for snowboarding – which join the other downhill ski systems of the Cui Dariolo in Malesco and the Baitina in Druogno, better suited to beginners. For Nordic skiing, the reference point is the Polyfunctional Centre of Santa Maria Maggiore, where a 20 km ski run departs, touching the municipalities of Druogno and Malesco. The track winds though woods and plains and is partly equipped with an artificial lighting system for nocturnal competitions. A 5 km ski run at high altitude is located in the Loana Valley, at the gate to the Val Grande National Park, while another small high plateau circuit can be found in Vigezzo. Hockey and curling can be practiced in the Malesco ice park, where there is an outdoor ice rink.
