Now we have opened the angle lift. We raise the finger of warning for a little messy lift track and a lot of shaft edges and piles of snow adjacent to the lift track.
Increasing wind and snowfall are on their way in over Riksgränsen. Hopefully we can see a glimpse of the sun again tomorrow. It is overcast and flat light on the mountain at the time of writing, and it looks like it will remain that way for the rest of the day.
Decent conditions. Slopes are in good condition, right side yet to be fully groomed. The upper chair lift shut due to high winds. Plenty of snow to enjoy the off piste but it’s rather heavy and slushy due to the recent warm weather.
Riksgränsen is in the Northernmost part of Sweden, and is famous for its beautiful scenery, varied skiing and excellent snow conditions. The lifts go all the way up to an altitude of 909 m, and the base station is at 250 m. Riksgränsen is ideal for offpiste skiing, and heli-skiing is offered from April to the end of season. The ski resort opens in February and is open until the end May.
