Bakuriani

Bakuriani is the worldly famous balneology health, mountain climate resort and the ski center of international importance. This little village in Borjomi gorge is located on the northern slope of the Trialeti range at an elevation of 1700 meters above sea level at the footsteps of the breathtaking Caucasus Mountains. It lies 180 km from Tbilisi and only 30 km from Borjomi. Bakuriani became famous as a resort back in 19th century and 1935 is its birthday. Today, it is a 4-season resort town, with modern infrastructure, including several new hotels, ski lifts, a funicular, a cinema, a children&rsquo;s park, and numerous other attractions. There is something fun for everyone in Bakuriani. 
Didveli (1861m) is a modern development and general sports/recreational destination in the heart of Bakuriani with highest elevation &ndash; 2700m. There are 14 km of six different ski trails catering to all levels of skier, from beginners to veterans, as well as some runs are fully equipped with snowmakers, which enables the resort to ensure a standard quality of snow.
Kokhta (2155m) is the beauty of the place and the oldest ski area in Bakuriani. From there you can see the Greater Caucasus Range in its full splendor. Kokhta is 4 km ski run with difficult and medium difficulty slopes. The upper part of the slope is rather difficult &ndash; the slope gradient is 52 percent and as for an intermediate piste, its trail runs through the fabulous fir wood plunged in the snow.
Bakuriani is one of the most important four season resorts in Georgia. Due to its long winters (4-5 months), the resort is a paradise for skiers and snowboarders alike. It is also a superb venue for children to learn how to ski and engage in other winter sports and activities. Resort has two amazing kid&rsquo;s parks &ldquo;Didveli&rdquo; and &ldquo;Joyland&rdquo; which offers different attractions to the kids to enjoy their time at Bakuriani.
