I've been to Nassfeld three times and can recommend. The lift system is the best I've seen anywhere. It is the only place I know of that has a gondola from valley level to the TOP of the ski area. Once you've arrived, nearly all fast chairs. The on piste skiing is excellent - a good variety of runs and impeccable maintenance. The mountain restaurants are also a treat. Some lovely locations and good, reasonably priced food. Back at the valley, a rather different story. Finding reasonably priced accommodation not a problem, but Hermagor (the town) is not particularly animated.
