Dave Bush

Was there last year but have visited in the past. Amazed at brilliant snow conditions at Easter. Expected to be limited but absolutely brilliant Sun and snow. Going again this year. Stayed in self catering in Arcs 1600 (I think). Excellent. Was hoping for quiet slopes but the excellent weather had brought out the French in numbers for a last ski of the season. Not complaining -- only very envious that they have the Alps! Adequate shops, cafes, bars. Went with family and granddaughters and their friends. Highlight for them were the two cross-country runs over the top of L'Arpette which we had to keep going back to. There were also two natural half pipes that proved to be a lot of fun and a couple of timed runs which worked quite well. (91 KPH and 70 years old!) Also plenty of of piste fun trails through the trees. We had ski lift passes for one day in La Plagne and spent one day there. Excellent but no need for any more. Booked up for this coming winter half term. Looking forward to it immensely.
