Finding ski lessons in London might be a bit tricky since it’s not a city known for its snowy slopes! However, there are some indoor ski centres where you can learn the basics of skiing or snowboarding.
Ski lessons in London
Just because you live in the capital and rarely even see a sniff of snow, it doesn’t mean you can’t hit the slopes!
Chel-Ski in Chelsea, London
Chel-Ski is a central London indoor ski slope offering a simulated skiing experience using special revolving slopes.
Take to the slopes at the capital’s largest indoor ski centre. Chel-Ski is a fun, safe and controlled setting for ski and snowboard lessons, using technology approved by the British Association of snow sport instructors. There are no ski lifts or queues to worry about. Brush up on your existing skiing skills or try it for the first time.
Child tickets cost £34.95 and adult tickets £39.95. All prices include tuition and gear (boots, skis/snowboards and helmets).
The minimum age is 5. Chel-Ski can cater for three and four year olds, but only as part of a private 1:1 session. The centre is open from 8am to 10pm, Monday to Sunday.
Snow Centre in Hemel Hempstead
The Snow Centre offers ski lessons in London, albeit a little bit outside of London, but accessible by train. The centre is known as ‘London’s closest indoor real snow slope’. You can take lessons and practice skiing or snowboarding.
Here you’ll find a huge 160m Main Slope as well as the UKs largest indoor lesson slope. Both ski and snowboarding slopes are over 30m wide.
Learn the basics, hone your skills, have a family fun day out or bring your group for a birthday party or celebration.
There are a range of adult skiing lessons, junior skiing lessons and family skiing lessons so there is something for everyone. You can take your pick, from the group lessons to the personal one-on-one style of our Private Lessons.
Every Thursday there will be some Main Slope Restrictions with a couple of freestyle features netted off and ready for Park & Slide Night. The park is open between 5.30pm and 9.30pm every Thursday. A two-hour lift passes is £37.
