Skiing in Park City, Utah
Park City’s reputation as a premier skiing and snowboarding destination is well-deserved and it is home to two world-class resorts, Park City Mountain and Deer Valley Resort.
Park City Mountain is the largest ski resort in the United States, with nearly 3000 hectares of skiable terrain. Skiers and snowboarders of all levels, from families to experts, will find a wide range of terrain, including immaculately groomed pistes, state-of-the-art facilities, challenging steeps and pretty woodland runs.
The resort boasts consistent and abundant snowfall. Park City snow has low moisture content, making it light, fluffy and powdery. Its ‘champagne snow’ is a hit with all ski enthusiasts and there’s plenty of it throughout the season.
Deer Valley Resort is recognised as one of the world’s best ski resorts, offering skiers a more refined and luxurious experience with six peaks to explore for all levels. Deer Valley Resort has a variety of terrain, exceptional guest service, amazing groomed pistes, gladed trees and steep chutes. Deer Valley Resort recently announced their “expanded excellence” plan, which includes adding 3,700 acres of new terrain expansion into nearby areas to increase the number of available runs and improve connectivity across its vast terrain. Starting December 2024, the expansion will bring several new ski runs and 300 new skiable acres to explore – and more to come!
Lastly, Woodward Park City is an action sports centre paradise and is equipped with a top-of-the-line terrain park, which is complete with halfpipe and snow tubing for the whole family.

At Park City Mountain, experts will love the The Chutes, which is a challenging double black diamond run, known for its steep terrain and deep powder, located in the Jupiter Peak area. Silver King is a black diamond run and is ideal for intermediate and advanced skiers, as it offers a mix of groomed runs and moguls. Intermediates can practice their turns on Homerun, a long blue which runs from the summit down to the base of the mountain or take the winding blue Claimjumper through the trees. The green Payday run is a favourite for beginners.
