The vast network of lift-linked terrain ranges from 1,240m up to 3,330m on Mont Fort, which is accessible to both pedestrians and skiers via cable cars.
Iconic Mont Fort offers breathtaking views of legendary peaks such as the Matterhorn and Mont Blanc from its panoramic platforms. Once you have feasted your eyes on the views, take a ride on the world’s highest zipline ‘Mont4Zipline’ with speeds of over 100km per hour.
Freeriding in Nendaz
Experienced skiers can take the extremely steep, ungroomed Mont Fort run down to Col des Gentianes. This challenging run stretches 1.7km in length and boasts stunning views along the way.
Most of the area’s extensive steep runs, called itineraries, are marked and avalanche controlled, but are not patrolled or maintained. If freeriding is your thing then the Nendaz Freeride is the most prestigious event of the Freeride World Tour Qualifier.
Long snowy ski season
With snow from November to May, skiing in Nendaz means snowsure skiing and optimal conditions throughout the season. On the slopes you’ll find something for everyone, from beginners to experienced skiers. The local ski area is ideal for beginners, with a number of short, easy blue runs. Intermediates are spoilt for choice with the numerous long reds.
Non-skiers are not left out! The resort has an ice rink and an impressive network of winter hiking trails. There are also two sledging runs, cross-country skiing trails and numerous events throughout the winter to fully enjoy their holidays in the great outdoors.
